I am currently a Hayward high school senior and I can say that this campus has had a positive impact for me , the majority of teachers have your best interests in mind and are willing to give you all the aid you need and the learning environment for most classes are very engaging . Being that hayward high school is predominantly consisted of low income and/or minority students coming from these circumstances makes it hard for many students to succeed academically either because they weren't nurtured in an environment that advocated for the importance of education, or they have extrinsic responsibilities such as caring for siblings or working to keep their household afloat. Hayward highs staff and teachers understand the predicaments that their students come from and these individuals will try the hardest they can to nurture and advise you in all manners in order to promote growth if you let them.

Hayward High School has many exaggerated reports of its demise and lack of quality education. I have been here for over 3 years and it has been the best 3 years of my school career. I have come across many great teachers and staff members, as well as many opportunities. Hayward High was the school in which I discovered an opportunity to learn media literacy through an internship and now I am a music production teacher at a media company in Oakland. There is an incredible amount of effort being put into making sure that students attend college after high school and that it is easy for students. Hayward High School consists of a diverse student body and staff, as well. The promotion of tolerance and respect of minority groups is prominent. Hayward High has its rough patches such as its old architecture and deteriorating classrooms, but education can be found in any room on this Earth.
I really enjoyed going to school at HHS. It's currently my senior year and I'm trying to get as much information as possible about college. I truly believe I have all the resources I could ever ask for here. not to mention, I have a great bond with several teachers and I have always felt like the staff here have always wanted to push us, the students, forward!
