The academics is amazing and inclusive to all levels. There are so many different classes to take, all giving range from unleveled to AP. Teachers are all welcoming and are very approachable for any questions or concerns you may have. If anything you will be over prepared for college. Classes are scheduled in a 4-block per day with two semesters. There are countless resources to help prepare an individual for college essays and tests. There are sooooo many clubs! Ranging from chess to ultimate frisbee, and it’s super easy to start one too! Sports are very inclusive and well funded if that is what a student is looking for. Practices are fun and sufficient, always having enough time for homework and downtime after. Overall an amazing public school. Haverford is constantly in loop with its community and welcomes all!
I really wish I could give this school a 3.5 stars, because it is certainly above average, but there are so many problems.
The good: I had many phenomenal teachers at this school. The teachers for the higher level and AP courses in the humanities were top notch. There are many extracurricular activities available, many of which are well funded and attended by the student body, specially Hi-Q. Senior events ROCK! Everyone looks forward to prom and the BLAST.
The bad: The counselors here are horrendous. I was a star student and had little to no help from my counselor with applying to colleges even though I went to them many times. They did not help me at any point in my career strengthen my application. The building is ugly and quite worn down. HAVERTOWN IS INCREDIBLY CLIQUEY, BUYER BEWARE!
High school is what you make of it, and HHS certainly has the means to help its students excel. If only it would take some of those funds away from sports and put them into better guidance.

The last four years of Haverford have been unforgettable. The lunches are average highschool lunches. I have made connections with students, teachers, and staff that I'll never forget. I Have learned things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I've had fun at events with friends and I've gone home at night knowing that I just made some amazing memories, thanks to Haverford High School. I am sad to leave this place but I know that they have prepared me for the real world, and for that I am always incredibly thankful. Anyone would be lucky to go to Haverford, and I am proud that I get to be one of those people. Roll Fords!
