Most teachers treat each other with respect. Only some of the teachers really care about the student life outside of the classrooms. The school do not enforce their policies fairly. The amount of parent to teacher contact is limited. The school buildings are in rough condition from curtain walls to rodents.
On the bright side the students are allowed to travel to the Advanced Learning Center to take career and college applicable classes. The teachers for the most part actually want to teach. The school offers sports that are fairly funded. Hatley offers agricultural programs and events. The school offers college readiness classes and programs. In general that’s why the rating was average.

The school is very small. The faculty and staff never really showed interest or prepared us for college. We basically just got by with doing no work. Something I would like to see change is the diversity. There are barely any other races other than Caucasian. I’m African American and there were only about 5 of us that graduated in my class. The classrooms felt very uncomfortable being the only Black person, especially when we read about Slavery or black history.
I've been a student there since 7th grade & I love the school. It's a small close knit family. We have dealt with tragedy & triumph. The teachers & faculty truly care about their students & families. We are the largest school in Monroe county but still small enough to know everyone & have that one on one relationship. Because of that, I am able to graduate early with college readiness.
