My experience at Hastings high school was very interesting but preparing for my future. This school had great teachers that helped me draw out my passion, as well as finding new ones. Though out the course of high school, I’ve learned so much about medicine through the school’s career programs. This specific program even gives me a wonderful opportunity to earn a pharmacy technician certification at a very low cost and even before graduation. Besides educating me about medicine, this school has a great fine arts program where I learned about drawing and painting.

Moreover, there was much diversity and school spirit which made everyone feel represented in school culture. Furthermore, I have made great friends that have each taught me something new. Hastings High School gave me a great high school experience that I will never forget.

The school sits in a low income area and has little resources to compete with the likes of Katy and Fort Bend. However, the administration and superintendent does a great job of providing for all households and their children. Hastings students, by statistics, do not perform as well as Katy high schools on the grand scale. The AP and Dual Credit Program, however is definitely on par with more wealthy districts. Teachers are paid well and therefore teach well. Due to its diverse student population and teacher population, racism is unheard of and staff try their best to accommodate absolutely everyone regardless of background or ethnicity.
This School was Amazing! I say that with Happiness since this school was there when I was in need. I had to change schools before coming to Alief Hastings High School, and this one took me in. the people here were great! The Teachers were very nice, and did more and cared more than I thought. they gave us clear view of managing one's own course. any one is welcome, and all are treated with respect. I finished and graduated and I am still in gratitude. for all this school has done. especially the night high school program. if any one fails classes or wants to go ahead in the grades, They give you that! for free! or if needed, Low Price! this school cares! Trouble or Contention from bullying or fights is minimized by full time counselor guards and all. all are protected.
