The academics are very good for a Hartford magnet school. The students are disrespectful to teachers and the middle school is out of control. The food is high school food, not much to expect from that. However, because it’s a relatively new school, they don’t have many established trips or school spirit. Administration rejects any idea for a field trip that involves money. The school is broke. Counselors ignore students in need of help and baby students who couldn’t care less about their education. You often feel ignored by administration when you try to speak up. Overall, it’s alright.

High School is WAY better than middle school. There are very good teachers, and they always care for you. Principal does not want to give dress down days anymore, some food is moldy, and they use leftovers. there are limited Language classes. Also, you cannot choose your electives/encores. Low-Funding, they decided to pay for a new gym floor that was perfectly fine in the first place, while in each bathroom, there is almost no soap all the time, and only one out of 3 stalls work. Very Diverse though, they are open minded to all religion, race, and sexuality. They have a GSA. But there are little clubs in general. Overall, this school is somewhat disorganized.
Throughout my 6 years of attending Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, I think that I enjoyed my experience as a former middle schooler and a current high schooler; however I want to specifically focus my review on the high school. The overall ambiance of the high school student body is okay. It is a very small school and to me thats what made me want to continue my years there. The smaller/close-knit environment allowed me to excel in my classes. What I love most about my school is that it is well diverse compared to other schools.
