I really like going to school at HMTCA. I’ve attended from 6th to 12th and I’ve experienced ups and downs. I love my friends there and I love most of the teachers. The only thing that I wish would change are the teachers attitudes. Over the years I have had my disagreements and bad experiences with teachers but recently I had a really bad one. My whole class had an issue with a teacher because we weren’t really being taught. Multiple students and multiple parents talked to the teacher in question, the vice principal, and the principal but nothing was done. Other than this experience my high school years have been wonderful. Everyone has bad experiences wherever they go and just because I had one doesn’t mean that you will!

The guidance staff are amazing. They go the extra mile all of the time. When I entered HMTCA high school in 9th grade, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be going to a 4 year college. The guidance team built my confidence up, challenged me in huge ways, saw something in me I didn’t and I was accepted into all of the colleges I applied to. Without the guidance team, I would never be where I am today!
all that needs to change is more discipline for kids who require it in order to decrease disruptions in the classroom and encourage everyone to keep learning. I also believe school spirit needs to be improved, allowing students to do more social events and gain participation in a school conducted things. It would also be a good idea to change some of the teachers within the middle school especially. Due to the behavior of students and the decrease in test scores, It is important to review every teachers abilities and see where the gap is in order to change and improve middle school. Another aspect is the need for more organization and communication within the school's staff, students, and administration. Many things get lost and unorganized due to the lack of communication and between everyone. The budget should also be increased in some way to allow students to create more clubs and be able to attend more field trips. As of right now academics are a strong point that and is very good
