Harpeth High School Reviews
Rating 3.17 out of 5 82 reviews
I love that Harpeth offers special career-oriented programs, like criminal justice and agriculture courses. However, the state-mandated classes, such as math and science, are unchallenging. Many students get away with putting forth little effort. Our test scores are a great example of this. Multiple students, including myself, express fear regarding our preparation for college and life after high school. Additionally, the atmosphere among students concerning diversity is abhorrent. The majority of teenagers at Harpeth are rather close-minded. Those who dare be different or speak up get trampled. The teachers, however, should be applauded. The relationships I've grown with my instructors are ones I will hold dearly for the rest of my life. Many teachers put forth a considerable amount of effort into caring for their students. I truly feel like I'm having a conversation rather than a mandated speech with my teachers. Though Harpeth is not perfect, I'm delighted I got to experience it.
Harpeth High was a great school. I learned alot there that will help me in my future. Most of my experience at Harpth High was very rewarding, I participated in many different extra curriculum pograms.
Harpeth High School is a very stereotypical public school in a small town. It has some amazing teachers who pour their hearts and souls into what they're teaching to make sure the students get the best education that they can provide. Like most public schools, some things definitely need improving, but the school is always finding new ways to change things up by painting walls or redecorating different spaces. It's a very small school, but it never feels over crowded, and teachers really take advantage of the small setting to create special bonds with their students that can't be found in the larger schools.
