Harper Middle College High School is an institution that bridges the gap between high school and college. By partnering with Central Piedmont Community College, students are able to finish their high school credits early and begin taking college classes. Overall, I've had great experience at HMCHS! The students here have a shared interest in their education and an unwavering confidence about their futures.

It's an amazing school! The opportunities are endless! You take high school courses while working towards an associate degree. It is not like the Career and College Promise Program because the CCP program limits the credits you're able to complete, while the middle college program allows you to complete an associate degree. All your Fall and Spring courses are paid for including textbooks, and additional fees. For the Summer, they pay tuition, and you have to cover books and additional fees. The downside is that the school offers no sports since it's a specialized program, but you can still participate in sports at your previous high school.
Overall I’ve had a positive take away from this school. Teachers care for their students as their own, and Harper in general is like a small tight knit family. I feel connected with my peers despite many differences we all have. I’ve had a few bumps in the road here and there regarding the graduation project. I highly suggest from your junior year picking a topic that everybody can agree on, something noncontroversial— trust me it will help you in the long run. But the teachers are pretty flexible with their assignments to help hear you in a positive direction.
