Harmony High School is a great! The academics are swell and so are (most) of the teachers. "Longhorn" spirit is great, and you can always find someone or one the faculty wearing a Longhorn shirt or saying "Go Longhorns!". Lots of diversity, with there being a split between Hispanic and White. The faculty are capable and take safety, academics, and student well-being seriously. I was involved with the band program, and it was mostly good. Your fun in band just depends on your opinion of the teacher(s). I also enjoyed the various opportunities to attend college info seminars. The only things that seem lacking is the food (which is hit or miss) and the variety in clubs. I would give Harmony High School 4.5 stars, put I could go with 4 instead because the school is very good, just not spectacular.
Something I loved about harmony high school was the amazing teachers they have there. I’ve never been one to understand math, or history, or even science. But the teachers there just contain this magic that allowed my brain to take in all the information and learn more then I thought I could!
Harmony high is a below average, typically meh welcoming, and smelly school. Most of the time, as I step through the front office doors, our secretary greets me with a smile and tells all others who enter, to " Have a great day!" . This is followed with a brisk walk to my first class of the day, while on the journey there, half masker students and teachers look all around with tiredness in their somber eyes, teachers call out to students to get to class and deans look around worried with walkie talkies in hand, as if ready for the next nightmare that is this school day, or to look for students out of dress code. Some teachers are nice, some less pleasant. Some clearly want to walk right out the door, while others genuinely care for the well being of the exhausted students. The cafeteria is cramped and fill my nostrils with cold bitterness of the food that barely covers' a white styrofoam tray. Typically I imagine a prison being more inviting than Harmony High, where I spent 4 years at
