My time at the Harlingen School of Health Professions was amazing! I met many friends who were diversed and different. Although, I believe that adding more clubs, or classes, will help students be more social and interactive.

As a part of the first graduating class, the Legacy Class, it was always an adventure to see which teachers would be cycled from the last year and whom the new hires would be. Almost all of the original teachers have since left, probably due to administrative conflicts. If you are a parent reading this please note that the Admins are not on your side when it comes to your kid. A closed campus made it hard for parents to even bring their kids homework without some district policy berating them, and if your child is sick of the school lunch don't even think about trying to drop them off food. Overall I can't complain about the Medical aspect of the schools' program, they tried their hardest and while at sometime we felt like guinea pigs it was an adventure none the less. Clinical rotations were some of the best Highschool experiences I can remember, in the Hospital they will make you do anything. It really gave us students a well perspective on the inside of the Medical Field.
I absolutely love the open and exciting atmosphere that our school offers. Unlike most high schools here in the Rio Grande Valley, our school focuses on team work and independence which they say, will be like most of our college classes in the future. Our school only has one mission in mind, to not only prepare us for college, but, to make us excel in all our classes that we take. Not only does our school reward students who pass their classes, but the teachers make the learning fun and exciting that make us want to come to class and learn. Our school, my class got an award by the state of Texas last year because we had earned a 100% commend rate on our American History STAR test. Not only does it show our dedication for hard work, but its shows our teachers ability to ever give up on us.
I truly love my school for the reasons listed above and will never forget the things it has inspired me to become and want to be in my future as a health professional.
