I liked Hardin Valley for the education I got. I liked the teachers and all the classes they had to offer. I wished they were more diverse so I could be exposed to more, but I'm hoping to get that exposure in college. They offer dual enrollment, so I was able to get some of my general education classes out of the way. I really appreciate this because those classes were cheaper and I won't have to worry about taking them in college. It will make my college experience a little easier. I can't say we've had the best record in sports, but the school spirit is amazing. There are always students showing up to sports games/matches. I have been lucky to attend a school where the resources are plentiful. Anything I have needed, either a teacher or the library has had it!
When looking for a free school hardin valley academy is a very good choice because it is most like a private school without actually going private. There are so many amazing opportunities for college in which it helps with. The reason it is not very diverse is because it is located in a predominantly white area but it allows anybody!
Great staff and students. Would recommend to new people in the community. As a student, It was a wonderful high school experience, and I could not imagine attending anywhere else. The students are always interactive with each other in class and in extracurriculars. The staff and teachers are all great as well. Every teacher is very motivating towards his/her students and are very trustworthy. I have never had a bad experience at this school.
