This is a great school for you if you love to do sports, but in that sense sometimes education gets pushed to the side. I have seen kids that barely pass their classes get praised by teachers because of their sports, where other kids that keep their grades up and focus more on their education seem to get forgotten.
This school does well for kids when they actually want to put an effort in. The honors classes here are excellent, as well as the AP classes. Kids that want to move up and go on to college are able to get prepared if they are willing to put the work in, and I think that it works out good that way.
Kids that actually want to learn are challenged and pushed to do their best, where kids that don’t really want to be there aren’t forced into college preparatory classes that they aren’t even going to try in.
Hardin high school is painfully average in most aspects, but if you can find the right teachers and motivation it can do amazing things for you.

They try very hard to help kids in as many ways as possible. The majority of the kids going to this school live out of town and have very little resources at home. Many of the teachers take this into account, and do what they can to help them in any way possible. There is many opportunities for students to take high level classes because they offer many AP classes. Almost every class room has daily access to either computers or iPads. It also puts lots of effort in keeping kids in school and adjusting to their individual needs.
Went here my whole life, small town. No diversity. Teachers choose favorites. Your history teacher is also the coach, doesn’t know or understand a lick of history. If your parents aren’t a teacher or on the school board don’t expect to play in any sport.
