Looking back on my time spent at Harbor City, I don't know if I would be where I am now had I not attended. All the really wonderful and passionate teachers provided me with a valuable academic foundation that has helped me succeed as University student. The reading, history, and mathematics programs often teach above and beyond the requirements for an intro university class, so I felt very prepared and very comfortable once I got to college. Academics aside, the experiences I had with the extracurriculars helped boost my confidence and build an accepting network of friends, both with teachers and students. HCIS provides such a unique and invaluable education experience that seems to be getting increasingly rare, and increasingly important, I encourage anyone in the area to check it out.

After transferring during my senior year, I had never felt like I belonged anywhere. But Harbor City opened it's doors and welcomed me in. I made some of the closest friends there and made amazing connections with the teachers that some still continue to this day. Harbor City was my second chance and I truly found who I was through it.
Great experience, full of wonderful people and teachers. Harbor city is not a very athletic school, as they put a bigger focus on the students. The teachers are some the most dynamic and creative people I know. Full of love and care for the students, and are whiling to go above and beyond for them.
