Although an overall good school, there are some aspects that could use improvement. The area that could use the most improvement is the was they do personal scheduling. This year I did not get to take the classes that I was eligible for so I ended up taking classes that did not interest or challenge me in any way. I originally decided which classes to take towards the end of freshman year so, I talked to my counselor. After the schedule was okay'd, I came to school a week or so later (due to a previously planned and discussed trip), I found out that I was taking classes I didn't sign up for and it was too late to switch out (even though it was previously discussed and confirmed)!

Hanover HIgh School is an above average Public High School. The majority of the students and faculty take scholastics quite seriously-and it is a very supportive environment.

One thing I believe Hanover High School could benefit from is a more organized, and curriculum based approach to the Science Department. The department lacks consistency in its expectations of its educators, which is disappointing.

Overall, Hanover is an amazing place to have attended High School.
Coming to Hanover High from another high school gave me a good perspective on all the good things about the school. It comes with a lot of great benefits like the Hanover community, opportunities, and college readiness. Things the school can work on are support for the middle class student and social life/bullying/diversity. I do believe, however, that every school has those struggles.
