It's a smaller school, because it's in a small area. Everyone gets along very well. I transferred here freshman year from Houghton High School, which is bigger. But in my opinion, everyone at Hancock is so much nicer and accepting. Best school in the area!

I graduated at a time right before many of the staff left, or retired. The teachers I had were very knowledgeable about the subjects they taught. Not many course options were offered, but they were in the process of adding more options with a greater variety. Activities were planned to look forward to and made the year go by quickly. Sports weren't very great, and there were some weak coaches. Overall a good experience and came out with some great friends.
Hancock Central High School is a place where all students can feel safe and comfortable while attending school. In my four years of high school there, I heard of/saw next to nothing in terms of bullying, and very little exclusion of students from certain groups/events/activities. The one thing I would like to see more of though is more opportunities for students with special needs.
