Hamilton Middle School Reviews

1 review
Academically, the students do very well, however many of the teachers- particularly in the science and math departmen- are either under qualified and have no understanding of how to teach their subject. The music department is also lacking, with old, second hand instruments that are often broken from the nearby high schools, and the teachers show their obvious discontent and don't know how to direct the class. A majority of the students are white, middle to upper middle class kids, however there has been in increase of Asian students as the school becomes more competitive and overpopulated. The number of native, hispanic/latin, and black students is astoundingly low. The neighborhood is great and very safe. Extracurriculars at Hamilton are either nonexistent or lack basic organization and funding. The largest was probably Science Olympiad, which received funding from private institutions and was led by one teacher and other adults from outside the school.
