My name is Davionna Smith and I been attending HCA for 4 years. Hamilton was a choice for me because it is a very small school K-12. We couldn't afford for me to attend there but the Principal Dr. Wayne gave me a opportunity to come there without being judged by my peers. He stayed there until my Junior year and now we have Mrs. Morgan. She has really been a inspiration in my life. She tells me that I can be whatever I choose to be. Hamilton can really use the scholarship because the school is not a state funding nor a community or tax payers funding. Some of the kids like myself and brother would not be able to go there if they wouldn't have found out away for us to attend. If we are picked I know that they will do what's best with the scholarship.
I have been attending Hamilton for going on 14 years. I will be a senior next semester and with all of my experience there I can say that it really was a great experience. There has been lots of changes occurred during all these years, from the name of the the school to the principals but overall they have great teachers and a safe environment. It is a Christian school so everything revolves around the Bible and how God created us which is amazing!
Mostly not worth your money. The students there are VERY unprepared for college courses. Looking for sports? Don't if you have a daughter. They have neither a softball or girls basketball team. Basketball runs the school, sadly. They put it above everything, especially education. For what? A couple of more playoff victories a year. They have never even won a championship in it. Nobody really gets disciplined for bad behavior there. They haven't figured out how to make sports and great students intertwine. If your child wants to really learn and not have to deal with crud, send them somewhere else. There are indeed many caring teachers, but their hands are tied by administration and the board.
I love this Hamilton Christian Academy I really cannot say enough about it. I started coming to this amazing school in the sixth grade, and it was honestly one of the greatest decisions that me and my parents made together. At Hamilton you will be able to be surrounded by a christian education and teachers who really do love and care about you and your situation.
The education given there is fantastic. I attend this school currently and in the past I did not know as much as I know now. I feel completely knowledgeable about most things and at the same time I’ve come closer to God with this Christian education and atmosphere. This school allowed me to express my confidence and wisdom as a young adult.
Hamilton is an amazing school to go to! They teach not only about the subjects you need to get in for college, but also about the teachings of God. Every week there is a church service for the students, where they can let go of all the stress and give it to God. The teachers and faculty at Hamilton are so loving and caring. They are willing to give extra help to a student before or after school hours. At Hamilton, everybody is considered family and friends, so no matter what a teacher, or student may be going through, we are all here for them.
I first started at Hamilton in 7th grade, straight out of home school. I'd never been anywhere near a real school before, but everyone there was open and accepting. A few years went by and before I knew it, I was starting my Senior year. Students and teachers had come and gone, but the core values the school held stayed the same. As I prepare to enter the real world, I feel as though I am ready to take on pretty much anything, thanks to Hamilton.
My child is receiving a great Christ centered education from teachers that truly care about her. This is a great place to be.
I knew I would be satisfied with HCA, but I am much more so than I anticipated. Glad to have this option for my children.
We absolutely adore Hamilton. They brought in new administration and made a few changes a couple years ago. My daughters class scored really well on their standardized testing. It's a family atmosphere with all the perks of a bigger school. Pep rallies, cheerleaders, all the sports, great club attendance, BETA, National honor society, etc. The high school BETA team did a science project this past year and scored first place in the state and competed in Florida for the Nationals. They placed First place at Nationals. Our elementary classes are smaller than public so each student gets more individualized attention. The students have a chapel service once a week. So thankful for these God moments at Hamilton. Our middle and high school students use chrome books on a daily basis in their classes. So honored to be able to send my child to Hamilton.
My went to Hamilton for several years and we pulled him out in 9th grade. It's a private school so they "get away" with more I think (phones in class, turning in late, etc). When my older kids went to Hamilton 10 years ago, it had a higher academic bar, and kids who were generally more "college bound" (academically motivated), and the school in general had higher standards. I feel like this is no longer the case and the quality of education isn't nearly as good as it once was. Yes, your kid can play sports here because there aren't enough in each grade so everyone on the team plays (and usually need more), but my son actually learned more at public school last year (he did sit the bench more, but he learned more in practice). Hamilton truly isn't worth the price like it once was.
would not recommend this school at all. Need more caring teachers that don't make a difference because of the color of your skin
Don't really get hurt or feel unsafe
Some teachers are very understanding and some aren't.
a few of the teachers are actually there to teach and care about their students
It's very small and there are no AP classes offered.
