Love the teachers here, they’re all enthusiastic about being great mentors to the students and aren’t afraid to have some fun while they’re at it! Nestled atop a small hill overlooking the ocean, I couldn’t ask for a better location.

Most teachers were great and very helpful. However, there are no resources for students looking to go to college and need help with the application/testing processes. This school lacks funding, but that is not entirely the school's fault. There are issues, like drug and alcohol use, and lack of infrastructure that the school's administration does not put enough effort into. My biggest qualm is with the students. Many of the students are extremely ignorant, and at times, racist (i.e. swastikas drawn on desks). I'd go as far to say, if you are not Caucasian or Hispanic, you'll have difficulty fitting in.
Attending Half Moon Bay High School has been a great experience for me. The spirit and energy is great, with the school having a totally welcoming feel. The teachers have always been supportive of their students and push us in our academics so that we can succeed. We have amazing counselors to help students, with resources for everyone. The athletic coaches are unbelievable and push the student-athletes in their accomplishments. I have had a wonderful experience with tons of memories that I will cherish after I graduate this spring. Half Moon Bay High is an amazing school that helps students to succeed in whatever they put their minds to.
