I think Carey needs to focus less on popularity and sports, and more on education. Some teachers there are amazing and don’t get caught up in the popularity contest. Others, that’s all they care about it’s like they are still in high school it is sad. The business department is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They inspired me to become a teacher! I suggest if you go to Carey just keep reminding yourself that there are better things in life than high school and being popular.

The teachers here are pretty nice and willing to help. On the first day of school, they will make sure everyone knows their free periods for extra help. Generally, teachers are pretty lax about rules, which sometimes leads to impeded learning. If you really want to learn a lot, I'm not sure if this school provides more than a catholic institution, but it's genuinely what you make of it. If you take AP courses and stay out of the drama, you'll get a decent education. The students (again, generally speaking) are very lazy. Most kids just slide by, and even in AP classes, there are relatively few students who are motivated. Because the students rarely try to achieve higher standards, I remember my counselor not really taking the time to help me when I told her I was interested in top universities. But again, if you find the right friends and choose the right course load, you should be fine.
School is very bad. Kids that go here are very cliquey, and do not accept outsiders. This school is also not very diverse, so if you’re non-white, you aren’t going to be treated the same as one of the Italian kids that go here. Administration has been caught not responding to bullying and concerning themselves with matters not considered serious, while ignoring actual cultural problems in the school. They’d rather tell kids not to curse at lunch then see someone getting picked on right behind them. One student conducted an experiment in which he pretended to bully people to see if the administration would react, and they did nothing at all. Once it was brought to their attention, instead of putting forth effort to correct the ways they monitor bullying, they instead attempted to silence the student by telling him to delete the video.
