At Gunter High School there is a high demand for excellence in every program available. They have a good handful of teachers and faculty that strive to get the best out of their students, and they do everything they possibly can to get them where they want to go. Though it is a small school is has the biggest hearts all around campus. From sports to academics or even the ag barn Gunter High School truly works hard in order to achieve the best out of everyone in order to keep their standards for excellence above the rest.
Gunter High School has a positive culture of excellence in all areas - academic, sports, arts, agriculture, etc. The small town values are evident in all aspects of school life. Teachers and coaches care about the students as individuals. Attending school in Gunter has been a wonderful experience that I would not trade.
Gunter boasts themselves as a school for champions, this can be seen in its students as well as its teachers. In such a small town, everyone knows everyone, and the teachers look out for their students. That being said, the school is extremely biased when it comes to sports, and the administration puts almost every penny they have into the athletic department. Several of our bathrooms have no locking doors but instead of fixing this, the school decides to build an indoor training center, along with re-doing the football field, weight room, and locker rooms. Besides this, our school's diversity is inadequate, its predominantly white, with a large Spanish population, although only one teacher is Spanish. Overall, Gunter will push you to do your best, and if you can handle the problems the school has yet to fix, you might find yourself emerging from the depths of the beige hallways victorious. You might just be a champion.
