Gunnison Valley School Reviews

I think Gunnison is overall a very friendly and good school. The location is far away from activities though and it's very easy to get bored. This does cause most people to grow very close to the community, but I moved in as a Junior and it made it difficult to find friends because everyone had already known each other for their whole lives. Everyone cares about you, and it's like a giant family. There is a downside to that though, everyone is up in your business. Nothing can stay secret and rumors and drama spread like wildfire. Overall it's pretty good, but there's just not as many opportunities because there's not as many people and the school isn't very big.
When I was in high school here it was super hard! There were lots of clicks and some bullying. Lots of big scandals going on. Not very much school spirit! The academics and staff were top notch! Great SRO, and counselor!
Gunnison Valley high is a small 2A school in rural Utah. I personally enjoy that I get one on one conversations with my teachers and staff. They seem to be very helpful to me. Like all schools, we do have flaws. I don’t necessarily enjoy the fact that some of our teachers are only there teaching because they want to coach a sport.
