The curriculum at Gulf Stream School encompasses academics, the arts, and athletics. Teachers encourage students to explore their interests and test the limits of their abilities within a safe environment. Cross-curricular and collaborative projects complement the curriculum. Recognition of both effort and accomplishment motivates students to focus on and enjoy the process of learning. The program itself is structured, yet flexible, with an emphasis on academic development. English, mathematics, social studies, science, Latin, Spanish, technology, art, music, and P.E. are required subjects. As preparation for long-term, purposeful involvement in the local and global communities, each class undertakes at least one community service project and many of our students volunteer their time to a variety of organizations outside of school as well.

Finest school in the area, hands down! The teachers, students, and families all contribute to the wonderful educational experience and environment. Small class sizes allow for more individualized learning and they offer additional support if needed. The focus on the development of the whole child at Gulf Stream School is very important. Bottom line is this, if you have children you need to contact the school and tour campus.

Gulf Stream School is an incredible institution. This is a place where everyone truly knows your child's name and deeply cares about their success. From the academics, where the small class size allows the child to receive a lot of individual attention, to instilling a great sense of confidence with public speaking, which starts in the youngest grades and the camaraderie and sportsmanship by the inclusive nature of the sports program, this school is truly special. My children who have graduated from Gulf Stream have been very well prepared for high school and my children who currently attend love to go to school every day!
The school fosters the social, emotional and academic development of students at every grade PK-8. Important to highlight are the quality of the faculty and the evolving curriculum, as well as the supportive community. At GSS, families will find small class sizes, character and leadership programming, public speaking opportunities, emphasis on the arts, health and wellness education, athletics, and extensive extracurricular offerings. The proximity of the school to the ocean is a unique resource. GSS constituents show a clear commitment to continually improve the school’s resources and programs to meet the needs of today’s students, including a renovated arts and innovation center that opened in the fall 2019. Students are being challenged and inspired by their teachers and by the tools and resources available to enhance their studies. One cannot step on campus without feeling the joy of learning that is present at Gulf Stream School each day.
