The teachers are either amazing or the worst you will ever have, there's rarely an in-between. Teachers having favorites is prominent and unfair opportunities are common. The athletics are well established and have great records, however, there are several coaches who are extremely political. The school is overpopulated which has put too much stress on the guidance department to properly help all of the students so college readiness is hit or miss. There are multiple faculty members in higher positions who are extremely rude and treat students unfairly. The dress code, parking tickets, and other rules don't apply to students who have close relationships with the Deans. The student body is less than favorable as majority of the students are entitled and rude. The parent involvement and influence within Gulf Breeze is extreme which can be either good or bad depending on the circumstances. Overall, I would not recommend this school- especially if you are not from the area.
It was by far the best high school I've attended. Students and faculty were friendly, energetic, and fun to be around. We had the best pep rallies, parties, and after school activities. If I could rewind time, I'd definitely go back to my freshman and sophomore years at Gulf Breeze High School!
Gulf Breeze is a special place. Everyone is welcomed at Gulf Breeze and it is a great community. I have thrived here with the environment they have created. The teachers and staff at Gulf Breeze are one of a kind. I have never seen a school look as much like a family as Gulf Breeze. I have enjoyed my time at Gulf Breeze and will forever be honored to have been a part of the GB Dolphin family! I highly recommend this school for any child in high school because of the safe learning environment and the tight community it has become.
