The things I liked about Guilford High School was how committed the school guidance office and administrators prepared us for college starting in Freshman year. I met with them in the summer before my freshman year and reviewed with them my interests and my curriculum was based on that. It changed throughout my time there and they adjusted with me and helped me take the right classes in order to graduate on time as well as made sure I had the classes I wanted. Was/is a great system!

The one thing I did not like about the school was the lunch (not necessarily the food - that was pretty good) it was the short amount of time we got to eat our lunch. The lines were so long if you had to buy lunch by the time you got thru the line and sat down to eat you had 10 minutes tops

Awesome school! Great staff and challenging academics, only a month or two into the school year and it's amazing. Brand new school that is very clean and teachers that care about you. I'm excited to be here all four years of high school.
Guilford High is a pressure-cooker. Though academically rigorous, it is hardly stimulating. There is a major push for achievement from the administration, and they do everything they can to make the school look good. This creates a culture of negligence within the school, where students are berated to raise the school's academic average, yet basic concepts such as mental health, good teachers, and individual thought are all but shunned. This being said, the quality of education is high. Many students come out very high achievers, albeit often at the expense of other elements of their lives and due to a competitive environment.
