A lovely school to be a part of! Being a small school allows students to get to know one another more. I have made so many friendships along the way. Key club has been here since 1994. The very same year our school started. I have met so many smart, kind and most importantly good leaders of our home, school, and community through this club. As a group, we have all participated in various cleanups, food drives, and veteran stand downs. It's wonderful being able to be a part of this Club and especially serve as President for the last two years. Overall, this school has many other wonderful clubs and sports. It is missing a football team but its okay. We have an amazing soccer team. They put so much effort during practices and is overall reflected when they play during their matches. They play so well that last year they went to the finals! The teachers always have their plans ready before teaching. Every lesson goes smoothly. I am honored to be a part of this wonderful institution.

Throughout the 5 1/2 years being in Guajome it has been the most amazing years of school than I have experienced in many other schools within the region of Vista and Oceanside. It is a great safe place for students especially since security is so tight in fights as well as in the supervision of classes. One characteristic in which it makes this charter school one of a kind is the fact that it is constantly making challenges for students as well as preparing them for college and in the real world, as well as making higher courses available for students based upon their interests. One thing in which the school needs to improve on is in the number of students who are admitted due to the fact that it is such a small school.
The small, tight-knit community of Guajome sets it apart from its surrounding schools. Over the years, I have seen our school blossom into an actively anti-bullying school, which is amazing. Steps are being taken towards reaching out to students and making them feel welcome. The teachers are particularly amazing. You really feel like they care. The only thing I dislike about this school is the students' lack of school spirit and lack of choice in electives. There's poor variety in the electives offered, which I see expanding, but is still quite underwhelming in comparison to its neighbours. Overall, the experience that this school offers begs the student to be proactive and do what's personally right for their education, allowing students to become independent in their studies, with the help of teachers. I am very thankful to have been provided the education that this school has given me.
