Grymes Memorial School Reviews
Rating 2 out of 5 2 reviews
The kids are great and the friendships strong. There are some excellent teachers who hold the school together, the overall experience is quite poor. The school is run by the Board of Directors who openly go against the parent survey polls. Teachers who break down and cry regularly in the classroom. Other teachers who barely give one assignment a week for grading. Not focusing in on basic grammar needs of paragraph structure. The school is always asking for donations. Do not assume the tuition will be the only thing you pay for. Athletic games are scheduled for the upper school to consistently have the kids miss school to make it to games. In school tutors are rare and the school does not offer a list of tutors in the area who know the Grymes program.
They don’t have a diversity and Inclusion director. They bill themself as non-denominational school but say the Lord’s Prayer at the weekly school meeting. Instead of an interfaith or school prayer to respect all family beliefs.

As a private school, they do not listen to the parents concerns or surveys response when making decisions about the health and safety of the students. The school is run by the Board of Trustees. They vote out board members who do not agree with the majority. ERB scores have been dropping over a period of time.
