Groveton is a great school where everyone knows everyone. The teachers and students are great! I love it here because the teachers make you feel like you can do anything. There isn't much drama, and you will not have problems making friends in Groveton.
All the school cares about is ag and athletics admin is okay but teachers aren’t informed of anything as a student the environment is pretty bad there’s so much drama and just not really great they keep junior high on a block schedule which doesn’t prepare them for high school and limits then to one elective they also don’t care about the students well being and will never listen if the kid is in trouble for something they didn’t do again all this school cares about is ag and athletics and if the head coach doesn’t get the team to the top ranks in the playoffs he gets fired or moved to another position a lot of the teachers are great but the school doesn’t care at all about the music program or the art program the music program is great for the size of the school but they don’t care about it at all like there was this girl who literally made it to a national competition twice and all they did was say something on the announcements, if you’re here for anything but sports, go to lufkin
My experience at Groveton High School has been mediocre, at best. The resources, diversity, activities, and overall school spirit are lacking and many times I feel as if I would have more opportunities in a larger school. However, what Groveton lacks in these things, it makes up for with its staff. Most of the teachers are very caring and will go out of their way to help their students. I believe that a large reason that Groveton teachers are so dedicated is that they did not choose to work at Groveton because of the paycheck (which is astoundingly low), they chose to work at Groveton because they genuinely love the environment and the types of students that Groveton produces.
