I attended Grove City Christian School K-12. I loved the small classroom sizes along with the fact that the teachers genuinely care about the students. Throughout my time at GCCS, I can honestly say that I believe that I had some of the best teachers that Ohio has to offer. Our guidance counselor was so much more than a guidance counselor, she goes above and beyond for her students and I feel very lucky to have been able to have her. Something that I think should change is the focus solely on creationist views when it comes to the creation of the universe. I feel like other views should be explored as well, thus allowing the students to be better prepared for science courses in college.

I liked the small class size and student to teacher ratio but the academics were at or below average. Before I started at GCCS in 6th grade I was at the top of my class and got perfect scores on my entrance exams but during my time there I was under stimulated and under challenged. There were limited opportunities compared to the public school I wanted to and would have attended. Most of the teachers were nice but because they didn’t not have to be certified some of them lacked the skills needed to teach properly. I wish that there were more academic clubs and more foreign languages. The main focus of the curriculum and the school was the Bible which let to shorter classes and time for other subjects.
The school's technology is old and unreliable. A few of the teachers that have been hired were unqualified for the position and did not teach. The administration does nothing and does not do anything when the students have complaints or requests. Most of the teachers try to help students and take the time needed after or before school to tutor students. The school is small and is trying to renovate but, I guess it is the thought that counts. The administration favors some students over others and does not discipline those that get in trouble according to what the handbook states. The chapel is probably the best thing about this school. Chapels are student led on some weeks and the speakers vary.
