Groton is the best! Great people who all care for you and amazing friends who become like your family. The classes are challenging and engaging. They are also small and discussion based and science classes have frequent labs. Teachers care a lot about supporting you in and out of the classroom. PLUS fun traditions, cool sports and clubs, and good food. not super amazing sports teams competitively (varies w/teams) but very fun and good way to make friends
I'm a student at Groton School right now, and I love it!!
I come from a public school background, and so I was incredibly surprised about the diversity of the students here. The teachers are also incredibly diverse, and even though I've only been here for a short amount of time, I've gotten the chance to develop connections with many of my classmates and teachers.
The athletic center is state-of-the-art, and the classrooms are also equipped with the newest science technology and there is also a special woodworking class that no other school has.
Academics-wise, this is the school I knew I wanted to get into, and I was also pleasantly surprised by the music program, art program, and the athletics.

My son Mitchell went to Groton. Excellent education, very smart classmates. The endowment is over $380 million, or approximately $1 million per student today. Groton School received early support from th Roosevelt family, including President Theodore Roosevelt. Great teacher and amazing culture. Groton is small school with immense resources and extremely demanding academic atmosphere. The teachers were always well prepared for their classes. Groton prides itself on its "Circle ". Groton is a marvelous place to attend high school.
