Grimsley has excellent teachers and is a diverse school that has a positive school culture and acceptance of others.
I love Grimlsey High School! I’ve met so many amazing people and i’ve had so many amazing experiences. One thing that I wish differently upon my high school career would be a normal sophomore/ junior year without Covid-19.
Grimsley High School is one of the best high schools out there. They provide the IB program, AP classes, classes preparing students for future careers, and many clubs. It is mainly a great environment (Unless you're purposely trying to get into a bad one) and has many supportive teachers. The school itself is very loyal, from its band to its many sports teams, Whirlies can certainly be proud of themselves. Administration is helpful, staff is kind, and classes are a great environment. From my experience, whether it be luck or in general, I didn't have to face any major issues unless it was from a student themselves.
I loved Grimsley, most of the teachers were great, lots of diversity in people and extracurricular activities. The only thing is that the buildings and everything in them such as bathrooms, water fountains, heating, and cooling, etc... are old and some don't even function.
Grimsley is a very diserve school with the largest high school campus I have ever seen. Chances are you will meet every type of person you can think of at Grimsley, and the faculty there is the most supportive I have ever encountered. The principal, Mr, Ged O'Donnell, is a magnificent man who takes pride in Grimsley and actually increased in-school resources for tutoring and education in order to increase student learning. I'm glad I went to high school at Grimsley, despite Covid-19 cutting my experience short, but I doubt I would have made the same friends and changed myself in the same ways that I did if I went anywhere else.
In my opinion I have had a wonderful experience at Grimsley High School and it's made me into a well-rounded person. The teachers have provided me with the materials I need to succeed and have worked with me through any issues I have come across along the way. The school itself is very large and diverse as it is set up similar to a college campus it prepares you to pursue a path in college. It offers many clubs as well as opportunities to get involved with your community.
My experience at grimsley was okay, I just wanted to graduate and be done with high school to be honest, I made friends here and there but my primarily focus was to make good grades and pass. What i like to see is remodel of the school. Every school got remodeled except for grimsley. So i would love to see that happen.
Grimsley High was a wonderful school to go to. I met tons of wonderful people and learned many things. Will I miss it? No. Roaches and bathrooms that never seemed to have soap, that was my everyday. The majority of the teachers were kind enough to have sanitizers in their room, though. You really can't expect that much from a building made in 1899. With some love and care, it could be an incredible high school, more than it already is.
Grimsley is a great school. Teachers make sure students are challenged to the max. Grimsley also has a diverse group of students and its
Grimsley High has the most influential teachers, even after graduation most staff stays in contact and helps further develop the students.
I love the extra courses that are available. The opportunities available to each student are amazing. You can take IB and AP courses, allowing for college credits to be earned. The teachers are amazing and do all they can to help to pass the classes. The campus is beautiful and looks like a college campus, creating an environment that high-schoolers can get ready for an actual college campus. The band organization is amazing and the marching band is an experience that everyone should go through. The sports are another great family group and Grimsley offers many. Grimsley also offers a variety of clubs from Women's self defense to Battle of the Books. The student population is large, but not overwhelmingly. The amount of students allows for everyone to find there place and their people. Grimsley is close to both a middle school and a elementary school allowing for volunteering hours. Grimsley also offers an amazing GAP and a JROTC program, giving people jobs right out of high school.
Great course variety and I.B. program but the physical condition of the school is worrisome. Great principal (2020) and encouraging teachers. Grimsley also has an excellent JROTC leadership program, and AP course variety.
The teachers are very knowledgable and helpful. They want their students to succeed. There is a good amount of diversity in the students.
I loved that Grimsley was diverse and had many opportunities for students who were from lower-income families, such as lending out technology and lending out free prom dresses. Grimsley also put a big emphasis on school spirit and sports games, which I love. I think I would like to see the facilities, especially the bathrooms, get an upgrade, as well as the textbooks in many classes. However, I know these tasks are expensive and difficult, and many of the buildings are old so I understood.
I went to Grimsley High School for my junior and senior years of high school and I liked it a lot. The students have a lot of school spirit and sporting events are well attended. It does get cliquey at times, but I have made some really good friends during my time at this school. For the most part, the teachers seem to love what they do and are good at teaching. I recommend this school!
Welcoming and bustling school with many inclusive activities. There is always something to do for any student. Culture and traditions have been carried on here.
Grimsley is a great school. Though the course offerings could be broader, the school has a very strong IB and AP program. The teachers at Grimsley are top-tier, especially those that teach AP and IB. The school has a pretty good culture as well.
