I love Grimsley. It is a very diverse school without stereotypes. I love seeing different cultures and hearing different languages as I walk in the halls throughout the school day. There is inclusion with everyone, people of different cultures, races, ethnicities, socioeconomics, and disabilities. I love our administration and their focus on the issues that are the most important to the student body. They listen to student voices and are willing to work with students. The teachers are more focused on education and knowledge as opposed grades which is key in transitioning to college or further education. Overall, Grimsley is an amazing school with a positive environment for both students and staff.

Grimsley High School is home to many students and faculty. I had the pleasure of attending and graduating from Grimsley High School. I am now a proud aluminum of this magnificent school where every student was treated with the utmost respect. Students including myself were treated equally and had the same opportunities as other students. The rich history behind Grimsley High School is one of my best experiences. As an African-American student, it is very comforting to know that in 1958 Josephine Boyd attended and graduated from Grimsley High School as the first African American student in an all-white school in the south.
I love the diversity and opportunities my school offers. I also love the benefits feom being involved in activities outside from the classroom Grimsley offers. We are a big family. However, I would like to see more help for college selection & career paths for students. Counselors are not as involved as I would like them to be, but the overall success rate at Grimsley is up to par!
