Griffin has been a wonderful place for my son! He is developing leadership because of the many opportunities at the school, and he feel connected and cared for in the community! Teachers are deeply passionate about what they are teaching and about developing young people. The school encourages creativity, kindness, thoughtfulness, and curiosity. The kids are great - caring, authentic, and really supportive of each other!

The care that teachers show their students is incredible. I constantly felt pushed by my teachers to do my best, and they give the students lots of individual attention. The school always felt too small for me, but I stayed because of the quality of education I received there. It can be cliquey but in general, it's very easy to sit down with any group and be immediately included. Everyone is very caring and if I seemed down at school, people from all grades (even those who I didn't really talk to) would reach out to me to ask if I was alright. I could leave my phone and laptop in a classroom unsupervised and I never needed to lock my locker during my time at Griffin because nobody ever steals anything. Aside from the small size, it's been a great fit for me. I met some of my closest friends there.
The Griffin School played a very large role in why I am so passionate about being a leader today. The teachers care SO much about all of their students and will help any dream of yours bloom. The school is very nurturing and also well-connected in the community. If you are passionate about something, they will help you find a way to make it happen. The school is also very rigorous in writing. In fact, my writing skills helped me so much that I learned concepts that were taught later in my college sophomore-level classes!
