It is a great school. Lots of opportunities for us, especially academically. There are not very many clubs at all, however, and the only sports that you ever hear about are football and basketball. They have a news show in the morning that is put on by the media arts class. Tons of school spirit, football games are the best! The student body is very diverse as well.

Greenwood High School overall is a pretty average school nothing more, nothing less. However, it is apart of Greenwood District 50 which means it's students test scores are extremely low and personally I feel that's due to our teachers. The teachers I've had a chance to experience and the ones I've heard about through my colleagues overall aren't the best. This could possibly change if teachers are trained to truly reach all students no matter what back ground we come from, personality, race, or level of intelligence. I am currently in my junior year of high school and I haven't seen any improvement in our teachers, but I truly do wish this will change for upcoming high school students.
This is a small school, barely 5A with 400 kids graduating in my class. I am originally from northern Illinois, so I am used to a different culture. Once I acclimated to the culture down here, this high school was a good experience. I understand how high school is a difficult time, you are growing up and discovering yourself, so of course it has not been the best time. I have like my teachers and I really appreciated the opportunity to take college courses in high school. I wish there was more school spirit, but that is mostly the kids and not faculty. The faculty is very fair and all the technical stuff has been great. Personal experience is always a factor, but I do not have any complaints.
