Greenhills isn't perfect. There are definite trade-offs between this school and public schools. Greenhills offers fewer classes, but the classes it does have are much smaller and generally foster increased learning. Leadership is terrible at Greenhills in ways that could never exist at a public school. The reason I gave it a 5 is because I loved my time there. If you make the advantages of Greenhills work for you- that is, if you take part in many extra-curriculars, make a lot of friends, and take classes with the good teachers- you will have a fantastic time. If not, you won't. Good luck!

TL,DR: insular + all the bad things that come with excessive privilege, but fantastic and kind teachers that make it all worth the hassle

Teachers are great and some of the most supportive, funny, and cool people whom I know. If you have a habit of developing strong relationships with teachers, then Greenhills is a great place for you.

The curriculum is challenging despite some knock-off required classes like Health. Strongest departments are in mathematics, the sciences, and English (especially sophomore, junior, and senior years). Arts department has good resources.

Beware the over-privileged student body. Everybody is nice but it is all competitive due to the successful nature of the students and their fondness for openly talking about their grades, test scores, and accomplishments.

Some administrative decisions are wonky, though improvements are being made.

Cafeteria food as of Spring 2017 is trash but they are supposed to update some things, so anything goes.
The interactive and challenging academics push each student to go beyond their comfort zones and dive into subject matter. The accessibility to have conversations with your teachers allows for academic success and personal relationships with faculty to flourish. Academically, Greenhills goes above and beyond to prepare you for higher education. Culturally and socially, however, Greenhills falls behind. There is nearly no diversity through the grades, in which limits opportunities to befriend and learn from others who come from different backgrounds. The class and grade sizes are so small that social ideals of beauty, popularity, and status are emphasized to an intolerable level. I am grateful to the school for leading me through my high school academic career with grace, but am utterly disappointed in it's lack of culture and lack of fostering genuine peer relationships.
