It was decent for a high school. There is a decent amount of favortism but I'm sure that comes from it being in a small town. If you don't have money you are a nobody. There dress code is fairly strict and definitely targeted at girls as most high school dress codes are. I feel that this school as well as the town around it needs to change it's values. If you have rich, conservative parents and if you don't try to go against anyone, you will be fine. If you aren't known around the town or try to make a change, you are worse than most of the troublemakers.

They are very good with academics and helping students achieve the most possible. They could be more helpful with information concerning preparing for college (such as the importance of ACT scores, the differences between AP classes and dual enrollment, etc). I wish they had offered more AP classes when I was a student. Overall, the school prepared me well for college.
There is a large variety of teachers at GHS, and the majority that I have been able to work with are fantastic! One thing that is different about the teachers at GHS compared to my old school is that they don't just want you to pass; they want you to actually be successful and learn something. Tutoring is available in all subjects and if one teacher has a method or style of teaching that doesn't work with a student, another teacher is always available for assistance whether or not they have you in class.
