After going to private schools my entire life I was skeptical of moving into the public school system my freshman year. I feared that integrating into a new school with different teachers and teaching methods would prove too much for me. But lucky for me I was attending Green Valley, a nationally accredited school built on good morals and high expectations. I enjoy all they offer to the student body. The pep rallies, decor, and classes are all very entertaining. I’m not a big fan of the foreign language classes they provide, but other than that I have no complaints. Definitely would recommend this school to others!

This is my first year attending Green Valley High School and I am a senior. I moved before the school year to Nevada from the Big Island of Hawaii and I was very nervous to the change I was going to have in a different environment. I am taking all honors classes and I was worried that I was going to have a very low GPA because education back in Hawaii is not the best and is behind mainland public schools. Though coming towards the end of the first semester, I have GPA of around 3.5. My questions are always answered and more. My counselor will call me in to her office, even when I do not make an appointment, to go over my transcript and check if I'm all caught up with graduation requirements and if I need anything. My other classmates are also welcoming and inform me of events or occasions that are happening at school, for I am still getting familiar with the school. I am proud to be a gator!
My experience at Green Valley has been amazing. I’ve met so many people and made so many friends in the past 4 years here! I’ve even gotten opportunities I never thought I would or even heard about. I love how involved the teachers are with the students and that I can talk to my teachers about things I need help with and they listen, understand me, and try to help. The only thing I would change if I could is the perception of Green Valley by some people that go there. We actually have an amazing campus, a good environment, tons of school spirit, and it really makes me feel bad for underclassmen because I’ve been there and you don’t realise how much you’re going to miss it until you’re in Senior year. Overall, the past two years here have been the best years, since I made friends, came out of my shell, figured out who I am and what I’m interested in, figured out I do want to go to college, and really grew as a person.
