My overall experience at Green Valley High School was a good one. There's plenty of school spirit, and students are always excited about upcoming school events! This school is very diverse and there are safe spaces for every group of people. (For example, Asian Pacific Student Union, Black student union, Pride Alliance club.) Counselors of GVHS provide plenty of resources for those who are less fortunate and encourage students to volunteer and make a change in the community. Green Valley High School is a great school that is there for every student.
Green Valley High School (GVHS) is a wonderful school! I've attended GVHS since my Freshman year, and all of my teachers have been really nice. They truly care about helping students graduate and get into college. The students get along too, and there is always something for students to be a part of. Everyone is very supportive of all of the different sport teams, and there is always a first Friday where everyone can support the clubs. First Friday is when we celebrate the first Friday of every month where the school comes together and clubs get to sell whatever they want so they can continue supporting their finances. GVHS is a very diverse and supportive school!
Green Valley has a lot of options for students both in education and extra curriculars. They have a variety of classes, electives, sports, clubs, and generally many programs I do not think you would see in most public schools. Probably the worst part of attending this school, in my experience, was the condition of the school in general and the administration's communication abilities with students and teachers alike. In the 2-3 years I was able to attend school in-person (as the pandemic started in my freshman year), there were numerous instances of flooding around the entire school, the air conditioning has been broken for at least 2 years, and one side of the bleachers in the gym have been broken for at least a year as well. The administration has often failed to properly communicate with students and teachers regarding major changes/events. However, I believe this school does provide students with nearly every opportunity to succeed that I could imagine, despite their struggles.
