I went to Green Run all 4 years of high school and I had a great experience! I was in the band and that is where I found my favorite director and family. I was also on the gymnastics team, which helped me gain some skill. Green run has teachers that care about you, not matter the background. All of my math teachers made sure that I was ready for the sat and AP exams. The school has students from all over the world with many different ethnicities and cultures. If you are looking for diversity in Virginia Beach, Green Run is the place to go. I would never choose another school if I had to. I have no regrets from attending the school. The principal is very great and he cares about the students like many of the other teachers. He knows how to handle his students in a professional way and he strives for his students to do the best they can. Green Run is a place that is looked down upon very often, but the students always prove the people wrong and show that we are better than that.

Green Run High School is an extremely fun, enthusiastic, and diverse school with excellent educational and career opportunities. In Green Run there are three schooling programs: traditional Green Run, Green Run Collegiate, and the Innovation Lab. With these three programs coexisting on the same campus, students have multiple options of what kind of learning and educational experience they will have. This variety of programs also allows for the integration and acceptance of many different points of view and educational styles, which allows students, staff, and family members to have a direct impact on the development of the educational system and reinforcement of social and emotional learning objectives.
I spent a little over half of my senior year at Green Run High, previously I was in California for two years, then at another High School in VA before that. Green Run has a wonderful staff. A majority of the teachers/assistants here want you to succeed and will do anything in their power to help you get to where you want or need to be. It just takes you putting in the effort to make it work. I had a harder time fitting in with the kids, a lot of them were rude and disruptive, they'd disrespect the teacher. I'm not one for drama nor the disrespect, so I kept to myself most of the time aside from the very few friends that I'd found. I'd stand up for the teachers when needed. Overall, I think it's a pretty good school if you set aside some students.
