Growing up in a small rural town in the mountains of Vermont, I could not have asked for a better setting for my high school education. With small student to teacher ratios, getting one on one time with teachers was a priority, and it was very beneficial for both parties. The closer relationships between teachers and students meant our various learning styles were addressed, and no man was left behind. The teachers always ensured that everyone was up to speed and on the same page, while not taking away from anyone else's learning experience.

As a current student at Green Mountain Union High School. There is many things I would want to change for our future students. Id start with making more consequences, and have them be more strict without bending the rules for certain students. I would want the staff to have at least a college certificate in their area of occupation. Green Mountain lacks a lot of college preparedness. By that I mean, our school doesn't get you ready for college. are they throw some college courses at you, and some videos on how to choose the right college. They lack the staff help, and encouragement to push their students out into the world, and let them spread their wings.
I transferred into Green Mountain Union High School my Junior year. I was convinced that I hated high school simply because I did not fit in at my old school. The students and faculty made sure to change my mind. These last few years at Green Mountain have made up for the years I lost at my last school. The only thing I would like to see happen, is that the administration does a better job with communication, and perhaps create a broader range of sports and clubs.
