I love the performing arts at GMHS and the German teachers! The language department is top-notch, including the availability of AP Spanish and German IV. Our performing arts directors are incredible and push us to be better at what we love. There are plenty of honors/AP and non-honors options to choose from. The one criticism I have is that the school pushes STEM to the detriment, sometimes, of students that are not STEM students. Other than that, the school has been great.

I loved the environment and vibe of Green Mountain High School. The teachers were very personable and easy to work with. Everyone in the building has the students best interest at heart. Throughout my four years here, I learned a lot not only in the classroom but about life. I went through transitions and had friends and staff members guide me along the way. I grew to appreciate and value my education and my community. The only thing I would change about GM is a bigger parking lot and a couple updates throughout our 40 something year old building!
While attending Green Mountain for 4 years I have noticed a few things that really stood out. Everyone (meaning teachers and students) are supportive of each other. I have hardly seen anyone get bullied or hurt by other students. This school takes kindness seriously. Another thing that stood out to me was that this school offers pathways. Pathways allow students to "specialize" in certain fields such as Art, STEP, HHS, and so on. this school has an amazing principal who has actually won the principal of the year award. One thing I would change about Green Mountain would be the school spirit. Although the staff ans students are very supportive, not a lot of people attend school events (sports, dances, plays, etc.).
