Green Hedges School Reviews

I went to GHS for 5 years (4th-8th) and my experience started amazingly. The teachers that I was lucky enough to have were fantastic and prepared me to the max both socially as well as academically for high school. However, after the first year, I realized how extremely fast teachers were leaving. Each year teachers would be replaced and we were told that they were "seeking other opportunities." I truly bonded with the teachers every year and it broke my heart that they were let go so fast. Perhaps it is due to the low funds that GHS has since the school is under 120 students (over half being under the age of 6 in Montessori). Yet the overall administration at GHS needs help. It is exclusionary and makes decisions without the students or teachers offering input. My graduating class (of 16 students) didn't even get to choose our class gift. Instead, we arrived at school one day to find out that it had been used to create a garden in the name of one of the most conceited administrators.

I went to GHS for the majority of life, and I it is a truly amazing school! The teachers care and the school's environment is amazing and supportive. The small classes help students to learn but can sometimes be problematic.
