Overall, GREEN Charter School is a great school for focusing on academic development. Because of this, however, arts and related activities are not ideally funded or represented. While the population is diverse and features multiple cultures, GREEN has historically not had equal representation when it comes to sports. Typically, there are far more opportunities for male students to participate in sporting activities, but it seems that they are trying to develop that. While GREEN has an excellent early college program, any classes that are not a part of that program (some of which are required to graduate) are under-stimulating and overly micro-managed. They do an excellent job at jump-starting a college career, starting honors courses as early as Grade 7, but fail to provide that consistency to older students who are further along in their academic development.
Overall, GREEN’s historical focus on academics has created other weak points as well as a tense teacher-admin dynamic.

I have attended Green Charter School as a student since 7th grade. The School is public but managed like a private school. I give it four out five stars. I think the School provides a special environment for students. The Middle/High School is Small with less than 300 students. Even though the campus is still very diverse with student from America, Middle East, Europe, Central and South America, and India. The social order of students isn't really a problem as a lot of student would be considered nerds or geeks in other schools. We also have to wear uniforms to school. Administration is sometimes overly-strict and exaggerating at times. This is especially true on dress code issues and interactions between genders. I do wish the school cared and supported the Music and Arts more. I also wish the School would invest more in the prospect of having a library. We do have Sports teams. Staff and Teachers care about students (sometimes a bit too much) personal and in class issues.
The school is alright. It has many issues with its administration's communication, structure, and friendliness. It is also kind of strict in its rules but also not clear on all of its rules. Some teachers are great but a few are very mean which isn't cool.
