MCC has great professors and has encourages a positive learning environment. Most teachers are willing to help students succeed. The facilities are clean- however, it is annoying when four-six bathrooms are closed at the same time for cleaning. It's nearly impossible to find a bathroom open when they're being cleaned. Professors typically can accommodate flexibility during their office hours if you ask nicely. The school provides great financial aid and is very inexpensive. Definitely the school you want to start at to save money before you transfer to a 4-year!

If anything, go to Great Path for the free college classes & credits. Communication between teachers and administration and each other is horrible, most of the time the students know more about school events than the teachers. Every year it seems the administration ignores big, crucial issues and makes big, ineffective changes instead, which makes transitioning into the year always a heartbreaker. For example, this past year, the freshmen class was separated entirely from the rest of the classes and they moved all the best teachers to be freshman teachers (which made it so that most teachers were teaching subjects they weren’t trained in). But I stayed and survived, so I slightly recommend it.
While there are staff members who deeply care for the students and quality of the education they receive, the majority of Great Path is jaded and uncaring. Great Path Academy, GPA, offers students the ability to take college courses at Manchester Community College. I will graduate with my associates degree in May alongside my high school diploma as a result of this opportunity. Though Great Path has good opportunities for college readiness, it does not offer much else. The grading system is based off favorites, many teachers talk bad about students to other students and staff, and it offer virtually nothing in terms of clubs. If GPA received new staff, teachers who deeply care and are passionate in the field, alongside a new administration, Great Path would be an amazing school.
