The incredible focus on the humanities is showcased through the Senior Thesis, a year-long project of 15-20 pages and a Senior Defense. History and literature are combined into Humane Letters, where seminar takes place. Only the art and physical education courses are not considered honors courses, and the math taken most often ends with Calculus 2 by senior year. The teachers are both passionate and helpful, often answering questions outside of class.
The culture of excellence and grit can be hard to measure up to, but dedicated students will find their home here. The student body is incredibly welcoming and sincere.

GHNO consists of a community of students and teachers working in harmony to pursue one goal. That goal is to look for Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in everything, which I think is truly miraculous. In my experience, many schools work towards the basic memorization of facts or principles, but Great Hearts students and teachers dive deeper into the significance behind those principles and we strive for the maximum understanding of any given topic, whether or not it is of particular interest to the individual. We pursue humility and virtue in everything we do, from classes to extracurriculars. I recommend Great Hearts to any student willing to work hard, endeavoring to persevere through trials of the mind and the heart, and most of all: to pursue the common goal of attaining Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
Great Hearts provided me with a uniquely classical education that has broadened my scope of how I view the world by exposing me to ideas, authors, and subjects that I never would have experienced otherwise. Overall my experience with Great Hearts has been very good and I would highly recommend it to anyone due to its invaluable education.
