The academics, school culture, and teachers are unmatched. The wonderful curriculum ensures that every student is prepared for college or whatever lies ahead of them. Exposure to great books and ideas teaches students how to think, rather than what to think. This school is definitely not for those who want a traditional high school experience, but the Veritas experience is generally considered far more valuable by students who choose to attend. The only problems at the school are due to its hasty growth and the occasional conflicts between the school's original message and new changes implemented by Great Hearts. I could not recommend Veritas enough for anyone who is searching for a unique education dedicated to developing students as human beings pursuing truth, beauty, and goodness.

Veritas is everything you could ask for in a charter school - the curriculum centers around the greatest minds of the Western world and pushes the students to explore the classical schools of thought. The faculty is supremely friendly and always willing to make time to work with students. The athletics are still up-and-coming but have made huge leaps in recent years. Overall, the school works to nurture its students into great hearted people dedicated to the good, the true and the beautiful.
The academics encourage you to think critically instead of regurgitating answers. I have learned how to think analytically through all of my classes, and I have been able to summarize arguments in a concise manner. The teachers are great; they love what they do, and it shows every single day. My teachers are able to make difficult concepts easy to grasp by making students discover the answers by means of questions. The students work in a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and selflessness. I made the decision to go to this school in the sixth grade, and looking back, it is the most influential decision that I have ever made.
