Grayson High School is nationally ranked in the top 10% of high schools and #49 among Georgia high schools, as reported by U.S. News and World Report.

The Georgia Department of Education acknowledged Grayson High School as a 2019 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor School in five categories— AP Access and Support, AP STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), AP Merit, AP STEM Achievement, and AP Humanities. We were pleased that Grayson High students were selected for the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony. Two students were selected for the Georgia All-State Orchestra.

The Grayson Technical Education Program opened in 2004 in a building that was constructed adjacent to Grayson High School. Grayson Tech serves Juniors and Seniors from all Gwinnett County public high schools. Grayson Tech is a state-of-the-art technical education facility that offers 12 career pathway programs to explore.

It was overall a good school and the athletics was very great! I loved going to all the sports games and watching my school demolish the opponents. I was able to experience going to watch the state championship football games twice throughout my high school year. We definitely were undefeated and nobody could see Grayson High school in athletics. Also, the academics were pretty great and I've met some awesome teachers who have helped me along the way and I gladly appreciated it.

I have absolutely loved attending Grayson High School for the past four years of my academic career. The school spirit, atmosphere, love for the school and community, participation amongst the students, involvement of the students and faculty, and the culture of the school are all truly unmatched. Through athletics, our student body has become more and more involved and unified as the athletic programs at this school have improved and gotten more attention throughout the years. Only thing I would like to see change would be student support in all sports rather than the ones that naturally get a lot of attention. Being a student that has been a part of the student council, principal's leadership committee, beta club, national honor society, the varsity swim team, served as a senate chair member on student council and participated in the morning announcements, Grayson High School has many opportunities for their students to get involved, which I extremely enjoy about this school!

My experience at Grayson High has, for sure, been a memorable one. With more than 3,000 kids enrolled here, there has never been a dull moment even at 7 in the morning. On the upside, Grayson has renowned sports programs that have gone on to win regional and even state championships. Grayson also has an active extracurricular environment with everything from JROTC to Theater to Ping Pong Club. The student culture here is like that of most high schools, but I would say the students here have more spirit than some of the other high schools I've witnessed. Grayson High has its fair set of issues such as a rise in fights and disciplinary infractions within the past couple years, but the administration seems to be doing the best they can to regulate it. Overall, I think Grayson High School is a great school for those who want to be involved, educated, and socially active for the four years they spend here.
