I haven't even been there for two years, but I know that the staff, in general, really do care about the students and want to give them the best education possible. There are so many teachers that will do so much to help a student so that student can get good grades in that class. I felt like I had AT LEAST one teacher and one counselor that I could turn to. All of the staff members are supportive and MOST of them are there to actually teach and be great teachers. I didn't say ALL because I have met one teacher who is there even though he says that they are only there because it's a good job. I'm not going to lie, there are teachers who lose their cool too easily, but I'm not taking off stars even though I said negative things because there is so much positive things that happen at that school. There are so many nice people and teachers that you can go to if you need help. They even have TWO resource centers at this school! It is the best one by far.

Grayslake Central gave me a great high school experience! Teachers were dedicated to giving me as much of their attention as they could. Students had a general understanding and shared belief as to what education meant to them. Afterschool activities allow students to branch out and meet new people and find new passions for them to follow. Grayslake Central is located in a safe neighborhood, giving many options for students who are eligible to go off campus for lunch. Grayslake Central also creates awareness for and provides aid for students struggling with mental health. All students feel welcomed and cared for when they attend Grayslake Central.
I’m in 9th grade and my transition to this high school has been amazing! All of the teachers and very kind and accommodate to every students’ needs. Almost every student at Central is very nice and open to meeting new people and making more friends; it’s not a matter of age or popularity, everyone is kind to one another. There are so many clubs and sports that you can join at central, and still have time to yourself! Everyone is so supportive of our sports players, choir members, theater kids, etc. We all take pride in the school we go to, because it’s one of the best in all of Illinois after all. Since 2012 I believe Grayslake central has been winning awards such as ‘school of the year’ or ‘most challenging school’ consistently.

So needless so to say, Grayslake Central Highschool is an amazing place to attend.
