A wonderful high school, filled to the brim with well-meaning teachers and faculty that have lots to share and teach! Passion abound, the extracurriculars are aplenty and active, and everybody is generally caring for one another regardless of who they are. Students here are set up for some of the top colleges in the nation, or wonderful internship/apprenticeship opportunities.

Grandview provided resources to students that were motivated to learn more about a specific topic. Their engineering department excels at pushing their students to a higher level! Every once in awhile there were small issues with the Administration, but the Teacher's cared about their students a lot!
This school is exclusively about academics. However, the student culture here is extremely poor. The students here do not encourage their classmates to be different at all, in fact alienating you if you are different. They ignore clubs and activities. Clubs are given very little influence in the school due to the bad overrule of student leadership. During my time here, I would say that student leadership did a poor job of promoting student school spirit because the administration overseeing student leadership usually made the final decisions, rather than the students. I would have liked to see more clubs and activities involved in making decisions rather than just a few that made the decisions for the whole. Overall my experience at Grandview HS was great if it was completely academically based. However, the experience outside of academics could have been much better. The school puts too much focus on academics that it sometimes made me fear having fun.
