My experience at Grand Prairie High School was definitely one to remember. From learning in classrooms to Friday night football games Grand Prairie has it going on! Every teacher that i have had a class with has shown that they do truly care about their students and provide the information to allow young adults like me to succeed. They provide many forms of assistance to ensure that students are getting everything they could possibly need in order to graduate and go onto college, or out into the work force. They have a strong college and career center that is available before, during, and after school with any student seeking help. Academically Grand Prairie has pretty good facilities, but the sports teams are very average compared to other schools in the UIL district. However, overall GPISD and Grand Prairie High School know what they are doing when it comes to getting all the children and teens to succeed.

High School has been an important part of my becoming of age phase in life now slowly taking a closure as we're all preparing to walk that stage in just a few months. These past four years have surprisingly been compassionate with me along side with a lot of hard work. Creating new friendships and learning life lessons along the way. Grand Prairie High School really brought these certain moments to me and I'm truly grateful for those. Alongside with those parts, they really did have the classes I needed for my chosen career pathway which was Law Enforcement before I changed my mind on another pathway for the future. That program really offers great hands on learning and the teachers are amazing and make learning enjoyable and helpful. Since I've been in choir since middle school i really wanted to attend a school which had a strong choir program. This school obtained the best ranking show choir in all Grand Prairie which really shows the amazing experience the choir has.
The Grand Prairie environment feels so welcoming. Students from many ethnicities and backgrounds come together to build a community. We lost a very loving principal and named the Student Union after him which couldn't be possible without the many hearts he touched and the community he built here at Grand Prairie High. There are many programs and activities students are able to involve in that help them both academically and socially. The teachers and administrators are all there to help and ensure the education and safety of students. Overall, the work of administration is helping push Grand Prairie High students to succeed for the future.
