I enjoyed my time at Grand Ledge High School. Most of the teachers that taught at this school were very kind, and helpful when it came to getting extra help. For every core subject, there is a help room. This means if you need help with any of the 4 core subjects you can go to the help room and there will be teachers ready to help you with what you need help with. The sports are very good, lots of sport options and great coaches. The food in the cafeteria is okay, it does the job but it’s not super wonderful to eat. The staff are very kind and good at their jobs!
Grand Ledge High School is a pretty good school. I came from such a small school and then it was like I had entered a whole new world in September of 2017. With so many students, there isn't much diversity and everyone has known each other since elementary school. So it was very difficult to integrate myself into this new environment. Although it was difficult, I enjoyed my experience overall and many of the teachers were so kind and really wanted you to do well in class which I respect.
I liked the teacher interaction and the ability to get help when needed. The variety of clubs allow students to feel connected to the school and the student body. One thing that made the experience good for me was the ability to take AP classes and to earn college credit for free. One thing about this school that could be improved is the advertising to be a part of these programs as you really have to search to find that they exist. The teachers at Grand Ledge High School are very caring and want the best for their students which goes a long way. Overall, a great experience at GLHS.
