Most of my teachers from 9-12th grade were amazing! Although some were much more unforgiving than others, they were all very educated in their field. Especially Mr. Brandhorst and Mr. Rodriguez! They helped me all throughout high school to ensure my success, and I am in still in contact with them to this day. The student life is something that could be improved upon. There were numerous fights there, and most would take ages to break up. I feel like the administration did a poor job of enforcing the rules and making the students for fearful of breaking them. Most students undermined authority and outright disrespected them for fun. It was incredibly irritating.
Grady is a great school academically! It has good diversity and a lot of the teachers work really hard to help the students succeed. There is a fairly large divide in socio-economic class as well as race. Most of the students are driven and motivated and care about their studies! Sports such as football are celebrated at Grady, but none of the Grady sports teams are notably good. I have enjoyed my time at Grady so far!
So much diversity and I love how there is a place for everyone to feel welcomed! The teachers are polite and have smart teaching styles. I was nervous to go to a school in a downtown city area, but my fears were stripped as soon as I go to the school! As a new student I have gained close relationships to my teachers and peers.
