I think Greater Lawrence is taking important strides to improve the quality of learning for their students. It has been seen with the installments of new bathroom accommodations as well as the new and exciting shops the freshman get to choose from every year. While the new accommodations to the bathrooms are exciting and greatly appreciated, they cannot be fully taken advantage of due to the fact that at least one stall in every bathroom has a broken stall door. Greater Lawrence also makes sure to provide eager students the opportunities to grow and progress themselves. Still, that opportunity is only given to the students who are not afraid to advocate for themselves. a 16-year-old student who is interested in their future shouldn't have to send 3 emails and cc a higher-up individual when their needs are not being met. Overall Greater Lawrence is a great School and I cannot wait to see how they grow as an institution to better shape the minds of the generations to come.
Overall, my experience at GLTS has been good. I just wish there were some things that the school can do to better the high school experience for students instead of just making it feel like a school, they could make it feel like a place where students could have fun in a place where you learn, where the teachers don’t make it just about their jobs but about students feelings as well. GLTS could be a school where the students actually feel appreciated for going there. Academically however, I would say I have learned a lot from the school and the shops are a great experience for someone to have, and for someone to start their career.
Well at GLTS they gave us lots of opportunities in many different way. They supported us and they were always there to help us with anything, whether it was school related or not. Everyone was kind to each other, nobody was scared of asking anyone for help. We all had the confidence to get help if needed. Sports were available and they pushed us in it. They wanted the best for us and it was up to us to do so. The teachers and coaches helped us in everything we could think, they were always there for us which made school more fun. Friends and people we knew made the school a better place. So overall my experience was good.
